Hey guys,

This week’s Thought comes from 1 Peter 3:15. There, Peter says, “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life, and if someone asks you about the hope you have as a believer, always be prepared to explain it.”

As I read this passage, I was drawn to the first sentence of this verse. “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life”… then be prepared to answer the questions that are going to result.

When it comes to worship, more often than not, we think of music — probably three to five songs on a Sunday morning. Worship is so much more than that though! Worship is a lifestyle. Worship is living your life in response to what Christ did for you on the cross. That worship will manifest itself in so many ways: how you serve/treat others, your financial decisions, your worldview and so many more. If you practice a lifestyle of worship, the people that don't understand it are going to ask. For those moments Peter said, be prepared to explain it.

My question for you today is, what does worship look like in your life — at your work, your school, on the field or court, in your relationships, or in your family? Live your life in such a way that people are going to ask you about the hope that you have as a believer, and then be ready to explain it.

Love you guys,John
