Equipping Believers to Follow Jesus Boldly... No Matter Where That Might Lead

After playing college basketball, John taught in public high schools and coached multiple sports for almost a decade. More than twenty-five years ago, while he was teaching and coaching, John went on his first overseas sports mission trip. He encountered people face-to-face who had never had a chance to hear the Gospel. God began to burden him for the nations, especially those with some barrier to ministry.

Now, John has over 20 years of international missions experience, using coaching and sports development as a key to unlock the doors to places where traditional ministries can’t or won’t go. Using nine different sports, he has led over 75 sports mission projects to more than eighteen different countries, serving in over 45 different international cities. John has also led more than 70 teams to serve in 35+ state and federal prisons in five states, using sports as a way to build relationships with the inmates and share the freedom they can find in Christ.

John's passion is to see people come to know Christ, both locally and around the world, and to also see Christians boldly step out on faith to follow Jesus in the adventure He has for their lives.

John and his wife, Jordan, have faithfully served in their local church for over 25 years in a variety of volunteer roles, and have even served on staff. They believe in the crucial role of the local church to grow believers and then send them out to impact the world with the Truth.
